Sligo’s Nicole Fowley has been included in the 30-strong roster for Ireland, ahead of their debut at the WXV1 tournament in Canada.
The tournament in Vancouver will host the top six women’s rugby teams in the world. Fowley has 12 caps for Ireland to date.
Coach Scott Bemand has also called up four uncapped players in Sophie Barrett, Andrea Stock, Katie Heffernan and Caitríona Finn.
Ireland open their campaign against New Zealand on September 29th, and that’s followed by fixtures against Canada on October 5th, and USA on October 11th.
