Bundoran RNLI were tasked to a callout yesterday evening after jetskiers got into difficulty at Tullan Strand.
The incident occurred at around 6.25pm on Thursday evening.
The alarm was raised after the two jetskiers found themselves caught in a two-metre swell when their jetski broke down.
It’s understood the casualties were out enjoying the recent spell of good weather.
One of the people aboard the jetski had their phone with them in a waterproof case, and were able to ring the Coast Guard for assistance.
The inshore lifeboat was requested by the Irish Coast Guard, and the volunteer crew were on scene within minutes.
On arrival, the crew assessed the situation and proceeded to take the casualties from the water and on to the lifeboat. Both were found to be safe and well and not in need of medical assistance.
They were then brought back the short distance to shore at the lifeboat station.
Bundoran RNLI are reminding people that if they get into difficulty on the water, or see anyone else in difficulty, they can be contacted by calling 999 or 112, and to ask for the Coast Guard.
