Over 11,000 on Live Register in October across North West



October of this year saw over 11,000 people on the live register across the North West.

The figures have been released by the Central Statistics Office today.

In total, there were 7,638 people listed on the Live Register across the county of Donegal. Ballyshannon had the most in the Ocean FM franchise area, with 853. 374 of these were male, while the remaining 393 were female.

Donegal’s Social Welfare office had the next highest amount, with 507. 472 of these were over 25, with 248 male and 224 female.

This was followed by Killybegs, with a total of 395. 367 were over 25, with just 28 under 25.

In Sligo, there was a total of 2,128 across the county. 1,807 of these were in Sligo’s Social Welfare office, where 1,609 were aged over 25.

The Tubbercurry office saw 321, where 39 were under 25.

And in Leitrim, the total stands at 1,556 for October. Exactly 100 people under 25 were registered in Carrick on Shannon, with 59 male and 41 female. While in Manorhamilton, the final figure stands at 383.
