Four Donegal businesses running for local enterprise awards

Four small businesses from South Donegal are in the running for coveted titles in the 2018 Donegal Local Enterprise Awards.

The awards event will take place this Friday in the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Letterkenny.

Shine’s Tuna, Killybegs; MMG Welding, Killybegs; McMonagle Marble, Mountcharles and Robert Beirne Engineering, Killybegs are all finalists in the 'Best Established' category.

Four businesses will battle it out in the start up category – Rhythm Nation, Ballybofey; O’Reilly Sports, Stranorlar; The Rusted Pixel, Letterkenny and Forrester Products, Letterkenny.

There are a total of 11 businesses in the Established Business section, where the South Donegal businesses will be joined by – Welditz in Carndonagh; Yes Chef Catering, Killygordon; Signworx, Convoy; BizzPrint, Letterkenny; Efficient Renewables, Muff; Consillium Education, Letterkenny and Bolt On, Ramelton.

The awards have been running for over 20 years in Donegal, as Head of Enterprise in Donegal, Michael Tunney, has been telling me:
