A rural Sligo village is to have its own conference suite and multi-purpose centre.
The new centre in Ballintogher will be available for rent for a variety of purposes, including conferences and meetings, presentations, business get-togethers and other events by groups or organisations.
Nineteen thousand euro has been obtained for refurbishment of two empty units in the village: €13,500 from the Department of Rural and Community Development and €5,500 from Sligo County Council.
The work is expected to take a number of weeks.
