Successful Sligo engineer encourages students to attend IT Expo

A former engineering graduate from Sligo IT is encouraging students to consider it as a career.

Keith Moran is the founder of the SL Controls an engineering firm based in Collooney but which has now expanded over 50 employees between their five centres in Sligo, Limerick, Galway, Dublin and Birmingham.

This week they have announced they are creating 20 new jobs and he says by the end of next year they will have created 70 jobs in the lifetime of the company.

He's encouraging people to attend the Engineering Expo which is taking place at the Institute's Knocknarea Arena tomorrow from 4 to 8pm.
