The Irish Offshore Operators 'Association (IOOA) have released their First Offshore Energy Index to highlight key elements such as Car and Phone Ownership in Connaught.
The Index also measured public energy use, conservation and awareness, car and smart phone ownership in Connaught.
91% of local households in the west are the highest in the country when it comes to car ownership with half of these having 2 or more cars.
95% have smart phones or similar devices with more than half having three or more
IOOA Chief Executive Mandy Johnston says its clear that people in the West need more information and support on carbon and energy use:
