Work has commenced on re-modelling and redesigning the existing Departures area at the Ireland International West airport to create a modern and spacious departures hall.

Phase 1 of the project will be completed by the end of March and will provide for a new seating area for passengers, 20% increase in restaurant seating and a dedicated work zones with power outlets for charging phones and smart tablets.

The upgrades will transform the departures area and provide passengers with an enhanced experience and allow the knock based airport to provide increased capacity as passenger numbers continue to increase.
