Sligo's St. Attracta’s Community School will attempt to win the Under 16 C Girls Basketball Championship this afternoon. The Tubbercurry school face St. Flannan’s of Ennis in the decider at the National Basketball Arena. Gerry McGowan appointed Corofin head coach

Tourlestrane's Gerry McGowan has been appointed as head coach of the Corofin senior football team for the 2025 season. The former Sligo intercounty star co-managed his home club along with Eamonn O'Hara to a five-in-a-row of Sligo senior football championship titles between 2016 and 2020.
