A North West TD says that meal vouchers for farmers is a solution for their current economic situation.
The weather over the last number of months has affected farmers in the region and a number are now facing severe financial difficulties.
Sligo/Leitrim TD Eamon Scanlon raised the issue in the Dail along with a number of his colleagues.
He says that the meal vouchers are urgently needed.
