12 months after lifting the Sligo junior 'A' football championship title, Owenmore Gaels find themselves in the Connacht Gold intermediate decider following Sunday's spirited 1-16 to 1-15 win over Coolaney/Mullinabreena at Markievicz Park.
In a fast and entertaining county semi-final, Gary Mullin's side showed commendable composure to edge past Coolaney/Mullinbreena, who were beaten county finalists in the 2023 championship.
The Collooney club will have to wait to learn who their final opponents will be.
In Sunday's second semi-final, Eastern Harps and Geevagh couldn't be separated at the end of extra-time, with Harps keeper Alan Davey saving a Donal Conlon penalty during the extra period.
