A 100 year old Sligo woman is donating her Centenarian Bounty to charity.

Coleen Healy from Riverstown and resident of St. John's Community Hospital is donating her €2,540 award to charity Kilimanjaro Direct where her donation will be used to fund the development of a playground for children around the foothills of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

A letter of congratulations signed by the President along with a monetary reward is given to people who reach 100 years of age in Ireland while they receive a commemorative coin from their 101st birthday onwards.

Coleen's niece, Ann Watters explains why Coleen decided to donate her Centenarian Bounty.
