122 cases of Covid-19 in the North West

122 cases of Covid-19 in the North West

There are now 122 confirmed cases of Covid 19 in the North West.

 

The figures released by the National Public Health Emergency Team have confirmed that the number of cases in Donegal now stands at 81. In Sligo there are now 28 confirmed cases and 13 In Leitrim.

The death toll from Covid-19 in the Republic is 158, with 21 further deaths having being confirmed yesterday.

 

Nationally 390 new cases were detected yesterday, bringing the total number of positive tests to 4,994.

As of Friday at midnight, 165 people were admitted to intensive care units, while 1,163 cases are associated with healthcare workers.

 

Community assessment hubs are to be rolled out this week, starting today.

 

They'll provide enhanced community-based supports for people who've tested positive for Covid-19.

 

There'll be 12 to 15 of these hubs in place by the end of the week.
