142 people were listed as homeless across the North West in December 2023.
The figures were released by the Department of Housing today.
Of the 142 in the North West, 94 were male and 48 were female. 116 of those were single adults.
Sligo had the highest amount of homeless people in December with 74. That was followed by 54 in Donegal, and 14 in Leitrim.

Christmas week saw almost 20 families across the region access emergency accomodation. From Christmas Day to New Year's Eve, 19 families in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal availed of the service, 13 of which were single parent families.
There was a total of 48 chlid dependents among them.
Overall, the North West's figures accounted for 2% of the national total, which stood at 9,356 for December 2023.
