Ballymote Gardaí stopped a car on the N17 being driven a 16 year old, whose parents were also in the car.
The vehicle was stopped on Friday for speeding in a 50km/hr zone and when asked for details, the driver had no license and gave false information which Gardaí were able to confirm using the Garda Mobility App.
The drivers age was eventually established; the teenagers parents had allowed them to drive.
Being 16, they could not legally have a license or insurance.

The car was seized and proceedings will now follow for both the driver and owner of the vehicle.
