A new report has shown that burglaries in Sligo and Leitrim have decreased by 18% in the last year.
The report, which was carried out by PhoneWatch, shows that although break-ins have gone down in Sligo and Leitrim, nationwide there has been a 10% increase.
This includes Donegal, which saw a 2% rise over the last 12 months.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Marguerite Cotter, Marketing Director at PhoneWatch, says one burglary in any area is one too many:
