Twenty-one people are waiting for hospital beds in the north west today.
Eleven of them are in Letterkenny University Hospital and 10 are in Sligo University Hospital.
Overall throughout the country today, almost 200 people in hospital are waiting for a bed, according to the figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
