22% increase in rodent reports in North West

Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are among the counties most affected by an increase in rodent callouts.

The North West has seen a 22% rise in such callouts from January to October of this year, compared with the same period last year.

According to pest controller Rentokil, rats are widely regarded as the country's number one pest threat.
