Today marks the 23rd anniversary since the September 11th attacks in New York City.
Among the almost 3,000 deaths was that of Sligo man Kieran Gorman.
Mr Gorman, a native of Lavagh was a labourer working on the 97th floor of Tower Two of the World Trade Centre.
A number of vigils and memorials are set to take place across the world including in New York to remember those who lost their lives on that fateful day.
