24 people on hospital trolleys in north west

24 people from across the North West are waiting on trolleys in the two regional hospitals.

Sligo University Hospital has 8 people without beds today with 7 patients in the emergency department and 1 on others ward.

Letterkenny University Hospital has 16 patients without beds today, with 3 patient waiting in the ED and 13 on other wards throughout the hospital.

Nationally, there are 482 patients without beds in hospitals today – with the worst affected hospital being Limerick University Hospital with 63 patients.
