Twenty-nine of them are in Letterkenny University Hospital.
13 of those are in wards with 16 in the emergency department.
There is one person on a trolley in Sligo University Hospital's emergency department.
In Galway University Hospital, there are 24 people on trolleys -- 17 in the emergency department and seven in wards.
University hospital Cork is the most overcrowded in the country, with 38 people awaiting a bed.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 424 people on trolleys in Emergency Departments and overflow areas of wards in hospitals throughout the country.
