300% increase in insurance policies for local Creche's

Parents across the north west could be finding it increasing difficult to secure childcare services in the new year.

That's after Ironshore Europe, one of only two leading childcare insurers, recently announced it was exiting the market, leaving many childcare providers with just one option for cover.

This has led to many creches being quoted three times their current policy for a renewal.

Claire Bardon runs the Learn Early Montessori academy and Creche in Ballymote.

She says here insurances quote has risen by 300% compared to last year's figure.
