31 patients in Sligo hospital waiting for a bed today

Sligo University Hospital had one of the highest number of patients in the country waiting for a bed today.

The figure was 31, with 19 in the emergency department and 12 on wards and other areas.

In Letterkenny University Hospital, 16 patients were waiting for a bed.

For the country overall today, the figure was 343, 274 of whom were in emergency departments.
