Rescue operation takes place at Muckross Head

A man was rescued after sustaining a fall close to the cliffs at Muckross Head near Kilcar.

The man is believed to have been checking on livestock when the incident occurred.

The Rescue 118 helicopter was deployed to assist the injured man.

Assistance was provided by National Ambulance Service personnel and volunteers from Killybegs Coast Guard.

The man was taken to hospital to receive further treatment for his injuries.
