35 people waiting for a bed at Sligo University Hospital

There were 35 people waiting for a bed at Sligo University Hospital.

19 people were waiting on trolleys in its Emergency Department while a further 16 were waiting on wards.

Nationally, there were 334 people waiting at hospitals across the country today.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has called for urgent Government action on hospital trolleys as over 5,262 patients have been on trolleys since the beginning of May. A 68% increase on the same time period in 2021.
