Almost 400 people are on trolleys today according to nurses.
The latest report from the INMO shows University Hospital Galway is the most overcrowded with 36 people in need of a bed.
There are 26 on trolleys at Letterkenny University Hospital and 15 in Sligo.
In all 392 people are in EDs and overflow areas of wards around the country.
