47 on trolleys in North West hospitals

Letterkenny University Hospital has the third highest number of patients in the country waiting on trolleys.

According to today's Irish Nurses and Midwives Trolley Watch report there are 34 people waiting in the Emergency Department and overflow area of wards.

There are 13 people waiting for admission in Sligo with 10 of those in the hospital's emergency department.

506 people are on trolleys nationwide according to the INMO, the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore is the worst effected with 39 on trolleys.
