47 people on hospital trolleys in north west

There are 47 people in hospitals in the north west waiting for a bed this morning.

Twenty-four are in Sligo University Hospital and 23 in Letterkenny University Hospital.

In Sligo, 18 are on trolleys in emergency and other areas while six are in wards.

Eighteen are in wards in Letterkenny.

Overall throughout the country today, there are 559 people waiting on a bed.
