The number of patients waiting on trolleys in hospitals around the country remains over 600.
It follows a statement from the INMO yesterday, noting the "worrying spike" in the amount of people awaiting admission to hospitals.
In the North West this morning, there were 50 people waiting for a bed in the region's two main hospitals, with 28 people waiting in Sligo University Hospital, and a further 22 people waiting in Letterkenny.
Nationwide, the numbers lie at 605 today. University Hospital Limerick remains the most overcrowded facility in Ireland today, with 102 people awaiting admission there.
