50 patients waiting on hospital beds across the North West

There are over 50 patients waiting on hospital beds in the north west today.

There are currently 36 people waiting on beds in Letterkenny University hospital with 8 of those in the emergency department.

There are 36 waiting on beds at Sligo University hospital. 14 of which are in the emergency department.

Nationwide there are 488 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO figures

The worst-hit hospitals today are:

University Hospital Limerick– 68

Cork University Hospital – 43

South Tipperary General Hospital – 37
