There are more than 50 patients on hospital trolleys in the north west today.

Forty of them are in Letterkenny University Hospital and 11 in Sligo University Hospital.

There are 28 on trolleys in University Hospital Galway.

Overall throughout the country today, there are 465 patients on hospital trolleys.
