8 Weeks waiting time to access jigsaw services in Donegal

A Donegal TD is describing the waiting times to access the Jigsaw youth mental health service in the county as extremely worrying.

Sinn Féin TD for Donegal, Pearse Doherty, has called on the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly to urgently engage with the service to provide a solution.

Waiting times for an appointment with Jigsaw are currently up to 8 weeks in Donegal.

The Donegal TD says Young peoples' mental health has been adversely affected during the pandemic with a loss of schooling, sports, peer support and even their ability to socialise with friends.
