ATU's Sligo and Letterkenny campuses both look set to benefit from additional funding.
17 million euro is being allocated to the higher education sector to meet demand for apprenticeships.
This additional capacity is required to meet the increase in apprentice registrations as indicated by SOLAS in several trades.
It’ll be distributed across four Technological Universities and one Institute of Technology.
ATU Sligo will see a further 12 craft training blocks under the electrical apprenticeship scheme.
While a number of places are being opened up at the ATU Donegal Letterkenny campus in Metal Fabrication, Refrigeration, and Electrical Engineering.
