Almost 130 people registered as homeless in North West

There were almost 130 people in the North West registered as homeless in September.

Sligo had the highest number at 58, closely following by Donegal at 57 while in Leitrim, the number was 11.

It represents are rise of 3% on the previous month along with 29 children.

Nationally, 12,827 people are registered as homeless in the State.

The total includes a record number of children for the second month in a row.
