Almost 270 child care providers across the North West are now eligible for the third round of core funding.
The scheme has an overall allocation of 331m euro available in funding.
40 different childcare providers in Leitrim signed up for the scheme this week, which is 100% representation across the county.
The numbers were higher in Sligo and Donegal, with 72 and 157 providers finding themselves eligible respectively.
Those figures represent 89% of childcare providers in Sligo, and 92% in Donegal.
The latest uptake rate to the scheme is in line with uptake rates in previous years and providers can sign up to the scheme at any time over the course of the programme year.
There are a number of benefits to this year's round of Core Funding, with a larger increase in base rates, more funding for places offered to children under three years of age, and more financial supports available to services concerned about their viability going forward.
Minister for Children, Roderic O'Gorman, has said described the high uptake numbers across the North West as a very welcoming sign.
