Almost 900 farmers across the north west submitted a TAMS 3 application under Tranche 2.
The Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Scheme or TAMS 3 will provide grant aid to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment.
Figures published by the Department of Agriculture show 560 have applied for the scheme in Donegal, the fourth highest figure in the country.
There have been 186 applicants in Sligo, while in Leitrim, the figure was 147.
Cork recorded the highest number of applicants nationally with 1,265 recorded there.
9,110 applications were submitted during Tranche 2 across the 26 counties with the Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue confirming the continuation of TAMS 3, with Tranche 3 of the scheme open until April 12th.
