An Post email angers north Sligo community fighting to retain postal services

A north Sligo community is angry over what it says is a decision on the future of its local post office before the community's case for keeping the service could even have been considered.

A group in Maugherow posted its detailed submission to independent assessors on September 27th.

But it got an email from An Post yesterday indicating a decision was made on the future of the local post office on or before the 24th.

Local resident Noel Darcy says people are very annoyed:
