There's anger that no secondary schools from Sligo and Leitrim where selected for a leaving cert PE pilot scheme.
Last month 80 schools across the country where chosen to start the roll-out of physical education as a Leaving Cert subject.
Students will start the PE curriculum in September, before sitting the exam in 2020.
Eight schools from Co Donegal where chosen, but none in Sligo or Leitrim where selected. And Deputy McLaughlin raised this in the Dail....

But responding, the Education Minister Richard Bruton said that PE would be available to all secondary schools in the country as a leaving cert subject from 2020 onwards....
