Animal Health company announces 150 new jobs for Sligo

There's another jobs announcement for Sligo today.

Phibro Animal Health Corporation is setting up a new a biotech facility in the Finisklin Business Park in Sligo town creating 150 new jobs over the next five years.

Phibro develops animal health and nutrition products for poultry, swine, cattle, dairy and aquaculture customers around the globe.

The company employs over 1,400 people globally and is headquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey in the US.

The Sligo plant will be the company’s first biologicals manufacturing location in Europe and will allow Phibro to expand its presence in Europe.

Today's announcement is being made at the Glasshouse hotel in Sligo.

The project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.

Sligo has already had two other jobs announcements in the last month with Abtran announcing 350 jobs and another 40 jobs by E3.
