Ann Higgins says it's an honour to be co opted onto Sligo County Council.
The Labour party locally held a selection convention last evening, following the recent election of Nessa Cosgrove to the Seanad.
Ann Higgins was subsequently selected to represent the Labour Party on Sligo County Council for the next four years.
