It's expected the successor to Bishop Philip Boyce of the Diocese of Raphoe will be announced this morning.
The diocese covers most of County Donegal.
It's expected the announcement will be made after Mass in St Eunan's Cathedral in Letterkenny, which starts this morning at 10am.
The chief celebrant will be Bishop Boyce.
