Announcement expected to reduce excise duty on petrol and diesel

The body representing fuel companies, Fuels for Ireland is calling on the Government to avoid suddenly removing fuel discounts to avoid queues at the pumps.

It's expected an announcement will be made on Tuesday to remove the reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel.

Fuels for Ireland CEO Kevin McPartlan says if prices go back up, it should be managed carefully:
