As things stand in Sligo elections with tallies finished

As things stand in Sligo elections with tallies finished

Tally figures have been completed in the Sligo-Strandhill, Sligo-Drumcliffe, and Ballymote-Tubbercurry electoral areas.

 

Topping the poll with first preference votes in each municipal district as it stands, are outgoing Independent Cllr Declan Bree, outgoing Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh, and outgoing Fianna Fail Cllr Paul Taylor respectively.

They are followed in Sligo-Strandhill by Fianna Fáil’s Tom MacSharry on 1,342, Fine Gael's Fergal Nealon on 1,124, Labour's Nessa Cosgrove on 846, People Before Profit’s Gino O’Boyle on 735, abd Sinn Féin’s Arthur Gibbons on 721 first preference votes.

 

Next in Sligo-Drumcliffe is Sinn Fein's Thomas Healy on 1438, Independent Marie Casserly on 1386, Fianna Fail's Edel McSharry on 1314, and Fianna Fail's Donal Gilroy on 1159.

Finally in Ballymote-Tubbercurry is Independent Michael Clarke on 1756, Fine Gael's Gerard Mullaney on 1711, Fine Gael's Dara Mulvey on 1653, Independent Joe Queenan on 1505, and Fianna Fail's Liam Brennan on 1281.
