Attack victim Tom Niland dies

Tom Niland, who took ill following a violent aggravated burglary and attack at his home has died.

Mr. Niland passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning at Sligo University Hospital.

The incident on the 18^th of January 2022,rocked the townland of Doonflin, Skreen and indeed the wider north west area.

Three men are currently before the courts charged with aggravated burglary with a knife, assault causing serious harm and false imprisonment of Tom Niland at his home.
