In a time of rising costs in the agricultural sector there is finally some good news for local farmers with confirmation that the Board of Aurivo Co-Op are allocating €2m in a Fodder Support Fund for farmers.
The Fund is in addition to the ongoing fodder security campaign that Aurivo commenced in April, to highlight the need to secure an adequate supply of fodder on farm for the winter.
The fodder support fund will aim to help farmers grow more fodder for the coming winter through increased 2nd cut silage yields and the proper finishing and presentation of cattle and lambs.
