Christmas time is a time of giving.
One Ballyshannon woman goes above and beyond each year with her own special contribution...of baking Christmas cakes.
Rose Gallagher, of Portnason has made a total of 36 Christmas cakes for her family and friends this year.
93-year-old Rose has spent the last number of weeks preparing, mixing and baking the cakes which will be delivered to the ones she holds so dear.
Debby Flanagan, from Bundoran has paid tribute to her grandmother.
"The number of cakes she has baked over the years has to be a record...this year it's 36! Sitting chatting with Granny is inspiring...she remembers everything past and present and has great knowledge on every subject matter particularly current affairs and is up to date on all events and local happenings."
She concludes by saying she finds herself "amazed by this great lady, her support and love for our family too. Through good times and hard times, it is the measure of a woman who has great compassion and dedication to those she cares for."
