Barnesmore Gap Greenway project off to a good start

The Barnesmore Gap Greenway project has gotten off to a good start.

Around 200 people attended a two-day public consultation on the project held in Donegal Town and Ballybofey.

A number of routes are currently on the table and while it's an early stage it is hoped that the route could be selected by years end.

Cllr Barry Sweeney says more engagement will be needed with landowners but it has the potential to be a major tourist attraction with huge benefits for local communities alike:
