It’s expected that Fine Gael Councillor Barry Sweeney will today be elected as the new Cathaoirleach of the Donegal Municipal District.
Cllr. Sweeney will succeed Fianna Fail Councillor Michael Naughton in the position.

The appointment of Niamh Kennedy as vice-chairperson of the municipal is also due to take place following todays of the elected Councillors of the Donegal local electorate area.
