The Donegal, Sligo Leitrim Local Link has seen the second-highest percentage increase in the whole country and currently has the largest amount of passengers.

In a statement Adam Ó Ceallaigh, the Green Party candidate for the Ballinamore LEA said that these figures show that there is a strong appetite for reliable and affordable public transport in the North West.

By opening new routes, bus travel is becoming more appealing to everybody living in our area and a strong competitor to car travel. This development will revitalise previously neglected regions, allowing people to access social and economic opportunities with ease.
