Blood donations still being accepted in north west

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is advising donors that they are still accepting blood donations across the country despite COVID-19 restrictions.

A clinic that is currently running in Sligo until the end of the week at the Clayton Hotel received a number of visitors over the past few days.

Carmel McNamara, the Area Organiser in Sligo for the Irish Blood Transfusion Service says they have strict protocols in place should someone donate blood and then later test positive for COVID-19:
